Casa de la Paraula

The cultural space where local artistic expression is exhibited, promoted and divulged.

As we can read on the Casa de la Paraula website, this is “a space to enjoy culture born in or linked to the municipality, with the aim to go beyond the natural limits of the town, to make it a cultural reference and to reinforce its status as capital”.

It is located in the old modernist building of can Gironès, very close to Farners Square and the parochial church, and therefore, in the centre of the municipality. This means that the space is part of most town events.

As well as the exhibitions and activities that take place, which can be consulted on the official website, the façade and original modernist spaces, that have been maintained since their refurbishment, are well worth a visit.

Practical information: can be visited. Opening hours are Monday – Saturday from 10.00 to 13.30 (mornings) and Thursday - Saturday from 17.00 to 20.00 (afternoons). Summer opening hours (20th June to 10th September) are Monday – Saturday from 10.00 to 13.30.
