Tomato Bread Festival

An ideal moment to try the hand-made cold meats elaborated by the butchers of Santa Coloma de Farners.

To promote local cold meats, the Town Council organised the first Tomato Bread Festival some years ago. Time has proven its creator right, and the festival has become a day of discovery in the open air, where many locals and visitors have breakfast, lunch or afternoon snacks at any time of day, in the unrivalled setting of the Sant Salvador Park, which is where many walking, cycling and mountain biking trails begin. Oils from the closest denominations of origin will also be showcased, and visitors will also have the chance to taste bread baked in traditional bakeries, as well as the country’s authentic tomatoes.

A perfect day to go and discover Santa Coloma de Farners with friends, family, or even alone, and enjoy a complete meal from km 0.

Over the course of the day, 500 kg of meat and hand-made cold meats, 500 kg of bread and 300 kg of tomatoes are consumed. There are also salads and beans, so vegetarian visitors will not go hungry.
