Follow in the footsteps of the bandit Serrallonga

You are sure to have heard of Serrallonga, the nickname adopted by Joan Sala i Ferrer.

This trail (GR-178) is a route that links Santa Coloma de Farners with Sau, passing through Osor, showing you the most important places in the biography of this mythical bandit: crossroads where he carried out robberies, hills where the Catalan militia would wait for him, places where he married and lived, country houses and caves where he hid, and also the place where he was captured.

However, this is not the only way to discover the spectacular setting that we have in Santa Coloma de Farners. You can also follow one of the other signposted rotes that will take you deep into the town’s forests.
