Self-guided Joan Vinyoli poetic trail

Independent visit to learn about the history of Joan Vinyoli and the importance of this poet for Santa Coloma de Farners.

The route begins at the Casa de la Paraula, where you can visit an exhibition about Joan Vinyoli and discover different elements of his poetic cosmogony. You will also see the original furniture from his office, a selection of books from his library and the first editions of his books.

La Casa de la Paraula is also the town’s Information Point, where you will be given a leaflet after visiting the Espai Joan Vinyoli, which includes some of the author’s poems, to be able to continue the route through the Sant Salvador Park.
You can read the poems while immersing yourself in nature. They are representative of the thematic and stylistic richness of Vinyoli’s work, and at the same time show the footprints that happy summers spent in Santa Coloma de Farners left, first in the poet’s imagination, and then, via nostalgia, in his verses.

When you get to the Sant Salvador Park, you will follow a circular trail, as indicated in the leaflet. The natural environment of this space is very beautiful and you will discover the stream, fountains waterfalls and oaks that inspired Vinyoli.

During the visit you will cover a distance of one kilometre and a half through an exceptional natural setting. This is an easy route.
