Catalan Revolt Festival

In 2006, the first Catalan Revolt festival took place.

This festival aims to remind us of the historical events that took place in our town and region when the village rose up against Felipe IV’s army and the Count-Duke of Olivares, provoking the Catalan Revolt.

The festival includes didactic and informative activities (speeches, debates, exhibitions) and fun activities (children’s games, concerts, dinner, correfoc – a fire-run where individuals dress as devils and run through the streets with lit fireworks mounted on devil’s pitchforks, etc.).
